DeLoG, the „Development Partners Network on Decentralisation and Local Governance“, is organizing another joint learning event in Brussels, from 25-28 January 2017. This upcoming event aims to provide insights on the nexus between local governance and sustaining peace in fragile and conflict affected settings.

Set-up of the course

The course is structured along four main components: i) an introductory session about the nexus and main theories of change related to local governance and sustaining peace, ii) A subject area session, focusing on Service Delivery, Social Cohesion and Local Economic Development, iii) a session pointing out the donors’ perspective and iv) space for content related and informal networking between participants.

The target group for this course is staff (headquarters and practitioners in the field) from DeLoG member organizations who work in/on/around local governance and sustaining peace in fragile and conflict-affected settings. The number of participants is limited to max. 35. This course is free of charge. The course language is English. Application will be open on the DeLoG website from 10th October till 20th November 2017. Selected applicants will be informed by the beginning of December.
