The Nordic–Ukrainian Municipal Partnership Forum took place in Lviv, bringing together more than 60 municipalities from Ukraine, Norway, Finland, and Sweden under the Polaris Programme, organised by SALAR International and Cities4Cities.
A total of 34 Nordic municipalities met their Ukrainian partners to plan the next phase of cooperation, focusing on municipal partnerships as a driver of resilience, recovery, and EU integration. Opening the forum, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister Oleksii Riabykin highlighted the role of local self-government in strengthening resilience under challenging conditions.
The forum also led to the signing of four new cooperation agreements, covering areas such as crisis preparedness, youth engagement, municipal services, green energy, and recovery.
