The International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD) has opened a Call for Proposals for a Dissemination Grant aimed at organisations that train, support or represent local governments.
The grant, worth up to SEK 150,000 (incl. VAT), supports Local Government Associations and similar organisations in delivering training activities based on ICLD’s democratic governance tools. The objective is to strengthen the practical application of these tools in municipalities across participating countries.
Eligible applicants include organisations working with local governments in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, with priority given to Local Government Associations. Up to two grants will be awarded.
The funding supports training activities implemented between June and August 2026, targeting elected and/or public officials at the local level.
Selected organisations will be responsible for planning and implementation, including logistics and financial management. A final narrative and financial report must be submitted by 31 August 2026.
