Presenting the UCLG-CIB policy paper at the High-Level Meeting of GPEDC

The Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC) is organising its High-Level Summit in Geneva on 12-14 December. The event, which will be attended by Ministers and decision-makers on development co-operation policies and programs, civil society leaders, CEOs of the private sector, and other key actors, is an excellent opportunity to present the key messages from the UCLG-CIB policy paper on development cooperation, recently adopted at the UCLG world congress in Daejeon. Different Mayors will join the Summit, as part of a UCLG delegation.

20 years of partnership - Nelson Mandela Bay and Gothenburg

This year, Gothenburg city and Nelson Mandela Bay municipality celebrates 20 years of partnership. It is one of the longest partnerships within ICLD and together the partners have carried out more than 10 different projects, mainly linked to sustainable urban planning and urban development.

UCLG is pleased to announce that it will host the Global Partnership Initiatives (GPI) acceleration workshop in Barcelona next June, to discuss among national states, civil society organisations, trade unions, parliamentarians, private sector and foundations which approaches and partnerships work best to achieve sustainable development.
