Description:
"1000 Schulen für unsere Welt" (in English: 1000 Schools for our World ) is a common initiative by the German Association of Cities, the German Association of Towns and Municipalities and the German County Association. It supports German municipalities in collecting private donations in order to build schools in developing countries. As it also provides information on possibilities for accompanying educational works and global municipal partnerships, it serves the twofold purpose of supporting worldwide education and enabling municipalities to engage more and more in projects of global sustainable development.
