Are you, or is someone in your network, 37 years old or younger, able to speak and understand English and able to motivate and show the relevance of climate change or local economic development for your local governance ambitions for your community and towards the strengthening your organisation?

 

Then The Hague Academy for Local Governance is waiting for an application. Between September and December 2014, two Talent for Governance programmes will be taking place in the Hague, the Netherlands, and a total of six Talents divided over the two programmes will be selected for participation.

 

A Talent for Governance programme generally comprises the following components within a total duration of three weeks:

  1. A two week international training course at The Hague Academy for Local Governance based in The Hague, The Netherlands;
  2. Week long internship at a Dutch Municipality;
  3. Preparation of a Back-Home-Action plan;
  4. Talent for Governance networking activities.

This call for applications refers to two different programmes based on the topics of two training courses at The Hague Academy. To apply for the programme, participants will need to make a case for their choice between the following topics:

  • Climate Change & resilient Cities - 29 September to 17 October
  • Local Economic Development – 17 November to 5 December
